Where Celebration does best in Austin
Celebration is the Bermuda for yards that get used hard. Foot traffic tolerance is very high and it recovers fast from wear, which makes it a good match for kids and dogs. It needs 5 to 6 hours of sun, the most shade tolerance of any Bermuda we carry, so it handles partial tree cover better than Tifway 419. Drought tolerance is high, and an established lawn needs about 1 inch of water a week. The tradeoff is upkeep: it spreads aggressively and needs mowing every 5 to 7 days in peak season.
How much Celebration Bermuda do you need?
One pallet of Celebration Bermuda covers about 450 sq ft. Measure the area in square feet, divide by 450 and round up, then add 5 to 10% for cuts around beds, trees and curves. A 2,000 sq ft yard, for example, comes to 5 pallets before that extra. Our delivery minimum is 1 pallet, brought out on a flatbed.
