Most Common
Standard Prep & Install
Most yards are already bare dirt and just need light raking to prep the ground before we lay the new sod on top.
For Uneven or Grass-Light Yards
Topsoil & Grading
If your yard is uneven or doesn't have much existing grass or weeds, we bring in topsoil (or enriched topsoil) and grade/level the yard before installing sod — no sod cutter needed.
Most Thorough
Full Sod-Cutter Renovation
For yards with a lot of existing grass or weeds, we use a sod cutter to remove it — cutting about 1" below the surface — and haul it all away, then add about ½" of enriched topsoil before laying the new sod. This gives the best long-term result and is our most thorough option.
