The price of an install comes down to a few things:
- Square footage. Sod is sold by the pallet, and one pallet covers about 450 sq ft. The sod calculator tells you how many you need.
- Ground prep. Light raking costs less than bringing in topsoil and grading, and a full sod-cutter removal is the most involved.
- Grass variety. St. Augustine, Bermuda and Zoysia are priced differently, and some varieties are special order.
- Distance. Delivery is priced by how far the job is and how big the order is.
