Where Zeon does best in Austin
Zeon handles shade and foot traffic at the same time, which few grasses do. It gets by on 3 to 4 hours of sun, the best shade tolerance of any non-St. Augustine grass we carry, and it still takes pets and heavy foot traffic. Drought tolerance is high and it has the lowest fertilizer needs on our list. The soft texture makes it popular around pools and patios. A regular rotary mower works fine. Water deeply, about 1 inch a week in summer, and no more than twice a week.
How much Zeon Zoysia do you need?
One pallet of Zeon Zoysia covers about 450 sq ft. Measure the area in square feet, divide by 450 and round up, then add 5 to 10% for cuts around beds, trees and curves. A 2,000 sq ft yard, for example, comes to 5 pallets before that extra. Our delivery minimum is 1 pallet, brought out on a flatbed. Zeon Zoysia is a special-order variety with a 1 to 3 business day lead time, so call to confirm availability before you plan your install day. We deliver across Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Pflugerville, Georgetown, Kyle, Buda and Leander, and delivery pricing depends on distance and order size.
